Rejection [from god]

‘Rejection’ explores the feelings of degradation connected to my experience as a woman. The subject is a hollow, ball-jointed doll unable to stand on its own. The face and hair suggest emotion and an organic life, but the body is frail and mechanical, poseable but not functional. When the head is removed, a mechanism within the neck is revealed. The viewer's presence completes the work, viewed as a voyeuristic experience.
